Transitional Housing
Lambert House
In 1998, the staff Gospel Rescue Ministries realized that many of its graduates were still in need of assistance to complete the transition back into the "real world" after their year of residential treatment. Soon, GRM offered its first transitional house which housed eight men graduates from our programs.
At GRM, we want to be a strong encouragement to those who have completed our programs and, with changed lives, are transitioning men and women back into society. In 2008, the Barnabas House was closed thus paving the way for the opening of the Lambert House, located at 1733 T Street SE, a 6 unit building housing 22 of our graduated men and women.
Residents of the Lambert House are encouraged to participate in after-care program activities which are structured to help them successfully transition back into the workplace, independent living and productive lifestyles. Lambert residents participate in addictions counseling, spiritual mentoring, the Alumni Association and have continued access to the GRM Institute.
Lambert residents are also encouraged to share their stories of recovery with current GRM clients, so that those new to recovery may learn from their experiences.
